New Featured Guest: Steven Hill

Only 38 days away from CONsole Room 2017 and we have more exciting guests to announce!

We’re happy to announce that Steven Hill will be joining us this year as a Featured Guest. Steve is the primary author (leading the team of six) of Red White and Who: The Story of Doctor Who in America (from ATB Publishing). He is also the co-owner and director of Gallifrey Base, the largest and most popular Doctor Who forum on the Internet, and was previously the chief administrator of the Outpost Gallifrey forum. He is the assistant programming director for the annual Chicago TARDIS convention; the creator and director of Mysterious Theatre 337, a favorite feature of American conventions since 1996; and an occasional on-stage interviewer at some American conventions. He has written two previous books, Silver Scream Vol 1 and Vol 2, in-depth reference works on classic (1920-1951) horror films from Telos Publishing, and is a contributor to Outside In from ATB Publishing and 1001 TV Shows You Must Watch Before You Die from Universe Publishing. A Doctor Who fan since 1975, he was a regular contributor to CompuServe’s SF&F SIG (Doctor Who section) in the 1980s, and in 1996 he created the Doctor Who Image Archive website.

Day Passes Now Available in Advance

You wanted ’em, we got ’em!

Now, for those unable to attend CONsole Room for the entire weekend, we’ve made passes for individual days available in advance rather than only at the door. For all attendees age 5 and over, Friday ONLY passes are $35, Saturday ONLY passes are $50, and Sunday ONLY passes. Children under 5 years old are still free for all days.

Weekend passes are still available to be purchased in advance, as well! Weekend passes ensure you’ll be able to soak up every minute of fun we have planned for you, and at a discounted price. Remember, after April 30, 2017 the price for weekend passes will jump up and will only be available at the door.

Kathryn Sullivan Returns to CONsole Room!

We have guests being announced left and right this week, and here’s our newest one: we are pleased to announce that Kathryn Sullivan will be returning as a Featured Guest at CONsole Room this year!

Kathryn Sullivan writes young adult fantasy and science fiction. Her Doctor Who-related works include “The Monster and the Archaeologists” in Professor Bernice Summerfield and the Dead Men Diaries and “The Diplomat’s Tale” in Short Trips: Repercussions, both published by Big Finish, as well as an essay in the Hugo winning Chicks Dig Time Lords. She also has a review in Outside In: 160 New Perspectives on 160 Doctor Who stories by 160 writers and another (Star Trek-related) one in Outside In Boldly Goes.
